A wood-fired sauna on the cliffs above Dunnet Bay, with whisky-barrel cold plunges and views over the beach
Save this place
Seaview bills itself as the most northerly wood-fired sauna on the British mainland. It stands in the grounds of House of the Northern Gate, the clifftop house near Dunnet Head, and runs as a separate business with the owners’ blessing. There’s no sea dip; you cool off in whisky barrels, a bath or the outdoor shower. Communal sessions last 90 minutes, and private hire takes up to ten.
