Saltbox began in 2023 as the first mobile commercial sauna in the Outer Hebrides, and its biggest sauna, Sandy, stays longest at Reef Beach because it’s hard to move. Sandy has two tiers of benches for ten, a Harvia wood-burner and a half-moon window. The saunas are off-grid, with fresh water brought in for cooling off, and the sea is a short walk over the dunes.
