Dalmore (Dail Mòr) is a west Lewis surf beach near Carloway, set between two headlands with a strong Atlantic swell that turns up in the surfing guidebooks. Watch for a strong rip at the north end. There’s a car park, a little cemetery above the sand and picnic spots; the turn-off is a single track from the A858.
