Come on an open day to see the engines run: Prickwillow’s museum keeps the great diesel and steam pumps that drained this corner of the Fens, and fires them into thundering life for visitors. The rest of the time it’s a quiet village collection explaining how the black fen was kept from flooding. Seasonal and ticketed, in the flat country north-east of Ely.
