St Andrew’s is the big cruciform church of Isleham, near the Suffolk border, with a fine hammerbeam roof spanning the nave. Beside it survives a rarer thing: a small Norman priory chapel, near-complete for its early date and now in English Heritage care. Both usually stand open by day. Soham station is about 6km west.
