Pole Bank, the Long Mynd
Local highlightAt 516 metres, Pole Bank is the highest point of the Long Mynd, marked by a trig pillar and a toposcope that names the hills you can pick out — many of them across the border in Wales. It stands well out on the heather plateau, a walk of several kilometres from Church Stretton or up through Carding Mill Valley. Open hill, free to roam.
