Carding Mill Valley
Local highlightCarding Mill Valley cuts up into the Long Mynd from Church Stretton, and is the way most people reach the open hill. The National Trust runs the car park, café and a small visitor point at the bottom; from there paths climb beside the stream, past a small waterfall, onto the heather plateau. Free to walk (parking charge for non-members). Church Stretton station sits just below, a few minutes away.
