King’s Cave, on Arran’s west coast, is the sandstone sea cave where Robert the Bruce is said to have watched his famous spider — one of several places that claims the tale. It sits on a fine coastal walk from the car park near Machrie, or from Blackwaterfoot. Look for the old carvings on the walls inside.
