After a walk on the west side, Cafe Thyme at the Old Byre near Machrie is a handy stop, with an unusual menu of Scottish and Turkish dishes — wood-fired pide is the thing to order. It’s part of the Old Byre Showroom, so you can browse island crafts and sheepskins while you wait. On the west coast road from the Brodick ferry.
