Blackwaterfoot sits on Arran’s quieter west coast, where a golden beach and a small drying harbour look out towards Kintyre. It’s the usual starting point for the coastal walk to King’s Cave, and about as far from the ferry as the island gets — you reach it from Brodick over the String Road. A calm base if you’d rather the west side than the busier east.
