A sheltered curve of sand on the east coast of Kintyre, looking across Kilbrannan Sound to the mountains of Arran. Carradale Bay sits just below Carradale village off the B842, and it’s a quiet, unshowy beach with dunes behind and the hills of Arran filling the horizon. Easy to reach by car; the harbour village nearby is still a working fishing spot.
