Chinthurst Hill is a wooded knoll south of Guildford, topped by a stone tower folly built in the 1930s. A short climb through the trees brings you to it, with a view over the Wey valley. It’s open access and free to wander, just north of Wonersh. Shalford station is about 2km north-west.
