The Withies Inn is a low 16th-century pub on Compton common near Guildford, known for its rose garden and long-running restaurant alongside the bar. It’s more of a sit-down meal than a quick-pint sort of place. Close by are St Nicholas’ Church and the Watts Gallery. Farncombe station is about 2km south-east.
