Puttenham is a single-street village running along the North Downs Way beneath the Hog’s Back, with hung-tile cottages and a partly Norman church. Greyfriars Vineyard is planted on the chalk slope just above. Wanborough station is about 2km north, on the Guildford–Aldershot line.
