Kaims Castle preserves the earthworks of a former Roman fort in Perth and Kinross. The Albion Guide maps seven Roman forts in the county; this is one of them. For more of the same, Blackhill Roman Camp, Ardoch and Ardunie Roman signal station are close by. For arrivals by rail, Gleneagles Station is 7.2 km to the east.
