Muthill is a conservation village of low stone cottages south of Crieff, laid out along a straight main street. At its centre stand the ruins of the old parish church, dominated by a tall Romanesque tower one of a distinctive Perthshire group. The roofless nave and tower are open to look round, cared for by Historic Environment Scotland. Gleneagles station is about 9km south-east.
