On the north shore of the Black Isle at Jemimaville, Udale Bay is a broad tidal flat that fills with wintering ducks, geese and wading birds. A roadside hide sits right by the car park, so you can watch in the dry even when the weather’s grim — autumn and winter are best, timed around a rising tide. Invergordon station is across the firth to the north.
