Chris Harrod’s restaurant with rooms hides in a wooded Monmouthshire valley, its Michelin-starred menus built from produce grown nearby and foraged from the Wye Valley before each service. The cooking is quiet, seasonal and rooted in its patch of Wales. Work up an appetite on the Wye Valley Walk or Offa’s Dyke Path, both threading the hills just above the restaurant.
