The Swan has stood on Tarporley’s high street for more than 400 years, a 16th-century coaching inn that once broke the long haul between London and Chester. Behind the Georgian front it’s all timber and open fires, with rooms upstairs and a busy bar and dining room. A good base for the sandstone-ridge country to the south.
