Bunbury Locks and Mill pairs two quiet sights on the edge of Bunbury. On the Shropshire Union Canal, a two-rise staircase lock lifts boats past an old canal stable block, and it’s a good place to picnic and watch crews work the double lock. About a kilometre away, on the little River Gowy, stands the restored watermill, open on certain days through the season. The village is a short walk from either if you want a pub afterwards.
