The Holly Bush claims to be one of the oldest licensed inns in England, its drinks licence said to date back to the twelfth century; the thatched, low-beamed building you see now is largely seventeenth-century. It stands in Salt near Stafford and cooks with a good deal of its own-grown produce. Stafford station is about 6km to the south-west.
