Heston Blumenthal bought this Tudor pub on Bray’s main street in 2004 and won it a Michelin star in 2013. The food is old English rather than laboratory cooking — Scotch eggs, hotpot, quaking pudding — a few doors from his three-star Fat Duck. The Roux family’s Waterside Inn is down by the river in the same village of Bray.
