The Derby Arms stands on the old road at Witherslack, on the edge of the Lyth Valley between the Lakes and Morecambe Bay. A comfortable coaching inn with rooms, it makes an easy overnight or a lunch break off the A590, with a menu leaning on local game and produce. Arnside station is roughly 4-5km to the south-east.
