Northumberland’s only thatched pub, the Black Bull is a low whitewashed inn in the estate village of Etal, with its own microbrewery out the back. It sits on the Ford and Etal estate, an easy add-on to a visit to Heatherslaw Corn Mill just up the road. Berwick is the nearest station, about 15km north-east.
