The real draw at Ford is next door: Lady Waterford Hall, the village school that Louisa, Marchioness of Waterford, filled with biblical murals painted over some twenty years, using her own villagers and their children as models. The estate church of St Michael and All Angels sits alongside, a mostly medieval building tidied up in the Victorian remodelling of Ford. Berwick station is around 17km north.
