Heatherslaw Corn Mill is a working water-powered mill on the Ford and Etal estate, still grinding wholemeal flour that you can buy from its shop beside the River Till. There’s a small charge to look round the machinery in season, and it pairs well with the thatched Black Bull at Etal down the road. Berwick station is about 16km north.
