Carroll’s Heritage Potatoes is a border farm at Tiptoe near Cornhill-on-Tweed, growing rare old potato varieties you rarely see in shops — knobbly, purple-fleshed things with real flavour. It’s a working farm rather than a visitor attraction, selling at the gate and by mail order across the country. Berwick is the nearest station, about 19km north-east.
