A rambling old house turned pub on the edge of Gresford, its timber-framed core traceable to the 1530s and now Grade II-listed. Brunning & Price took it on in 1994; the gardens run down to a set of shallow lakes, the Pant-yr-Ochain Pools. Open to customers for food and drink, with Gwersyllt station about 3km away.
