Known locally as the Low House, this thatched 16th-century Suffolk pub has no bar counter, its ales drawn straight from casks in the tap room, and interiors little changed since Victorian times. It rewards a country ramble across nearby Chippenhall Green, or a longer outing to the great keep of Framlingham Castle to the south.
