Walk up the Newlands valley south of Keswick and Hindscarth is the ridge rising ahead of you, a grassy Lakeland fell of 727m with a long spur running down towards Little Town. The top itself is a modest rise on the high ground between Dale Head and Robinson, and most walkers take in all three on a horseshoe round of the valley. The going is grass and short heather, straightforward in good weather. It sits among the north-western fells of the Lake District, quieter than the busier tops nearby.
