Anglezarke Reservoir sits up in the West Pennine Moors above Chorley, its edges thick with woodland and criss-crossed by moorland paths. It’s a quiet choice for a circular walk, and joins onto the wider network around the Rivington Reservoirs just to the south. Free, open access; Chorley station is about 3km west if you’re coming by train, though most walkers drive to the car parks along the water.
