Ugbrooke Park
Open to visitorscheck opening times and admission before you go
The Clifford family has held Ugbrooke, on the eastern edge of Dartmoor, for nearly 500 years, and still lives there. Capability Brown landscaped the 3,000-acre park in the 18th century, damming the valley into a chain of lakes below the house. It opens for house tours and garden visits over the summer months, with an orangery tearoom running alongside; Newton Abbot station is about 7km south.
