Luscombe Castle is a private house designed by John Nash in the early 1800s, with parkland laid out by Humphry Repton. It’s still a family home and stays closed most of the year, but the gardens open for one charity day, usually in spring, raising funds for local Dawlish causes — past events have included stalls, entertainment and food. Keep an eye on local listings if you want a rare look inside the grounds.
