A red-brick manor rises straight out of its square moat at Oxburgh, built by the Bedingfeld family around 1482 and still their home, though the National Trust has held it since 1952. The great turreted gatehouse is the standout, with a French-style parterre laid out beside the water. Paid entry to hall and garden.
