Norfolk Heritage Park
Open accessfree to visit at any reasonable time
The Duke of Norfolk opened this park to the people of Sheffield in 1848, on former deer-park land his family had held since the Middle Ages, and handed it over outright to the city in 1910. It’s free to walk in at any time, with Jervis Lum — a steep wooded ravine cutting through the southern end — the wildest corner, alongside more formal avenues, play areas and bowling greens. The Peak District rises a few miles west, past Beauchief Abbey.
