Britain's longest country-house facade.

Wentworth Woodhouse has the longest principal façade of any country house in Britain — a 618ft Palladian east front, confirmed by a Historic England-backed survey, built back-to-back with an earlier Baroque house for the Marquesses of Rockingham. After decades of decline it was bought in 2017 by a preservation trust and is now open for self-guided or guided tours of the state rooms, with the gardens open all day. The village of Wentworth sits just up the road. Open Tuesday to Sunday, ticketed.
