Wentworth is an estate village below Wentworth Woodhouse, whose east front is often called the longest country-house façade in England at some 180 metres. There’s a ruined old church and its Victorian replacement, Holy Trinity, along with a garden centre, tearooms and antique shops. Wentworth Castle Gardens lie a few miles to the west. Elsecar is the nearest station, about 3km to the north-west.
