One of East Devon’s busiest drinks makers, Lyme Bay turns out English wine, cider, mead and spirits from its base near Axminster, and reckons itself the UK’s largest maker of mead and fruit wines. The cellar door runs guided tastings across the ranges, Monday to Saturday. Axminster station is about 4km north-east, on the Exeter–Waterloo line.
