Clarkes has been the village butcher at Queniborough, north-east of Leicester, since 1982, and now runs a deli counter alongside the meat. The homemade pork pies are the draw — the one filled with caramelised onion chutney and blue Stilton took a Great Taste award. The shop is open to callers on Main Street, and Syston station is about 2km to the west.
