The Applecross Smokehouse sits at Kenmore on the northern edge of the Applecross Peninsula, on the North Coast 500 with Loch Torridon and the Torridon hills laid out in front of it. They smoke salmon, sea trout, shellfish and even cheese, and there’s a shop next door, though it runs seasonally, so check before making the drive out on the single-track roads. Handy for anyone stopping at the nearby Applecross Inn.
