Pen y Gwryd is a National Trust estate in Gwynedd, open land that's free to roam. It is one of 41 National Trust places the Albion Guide lists in the county. While you're in the area, you could stop off at Llanberis Pass, or pick up Cambrian Way. The closest station is Roman Bridge, about 6.8 km to the south-east.
