Stobo Kirk is one of the best-preserved Norman churches in the Borders, its nave going back to the 12th century — look for the round-arched Norman doorway. There’s been a Christian site here far longer, and the church is usually left open for visitors. It stands above the hamlet of Stobo in the upper Tweed valley.
