St Tanwg’s sits half-buried in the dunes on the shore at Llandanwg, just south of Harlech — an ancient church that was nearly lost to the sand and has since been dug out and looked after. Inside are early inscribed stones, some thought to date from the fifth or sixth century. A striking low building right by the beach. Usually open; Llandanwg station is a few minutes inland.
