A church in a dramatic clifftop churchyard above the sea near Cemaes, on Anglesey’s northern tip. Tradition has it that St Patrick founded a church here in the 5th century after being shipwrecked on the rocks below. The present building was restored in the Victorian era with unusual blue tiling and stained glass in an Islamic style, paid for by a local landowner who had converted to Islam. Open to visitors, with the coast path passing close by.
