Below the landmark hump of Brent Knoll, this church keeps one of the great medieval jokes in carved oak: a series of 15th-century bench ends showing a fox dressed as an abbot preaching to a flock of geese, then clapped in the stocks and finally hanged by them — a village dig at a grasping Abbot of Glastonbury. Open to visitors; Highbridge & Burnham-on-Sea station is about 4km south.
