St Laurence's Church, Morland
Morland’s church has the only Anglo-Saxon tower in Cumbria, built between about 1040 and 1055 — older than the Norman Conquest, and older than almost anything else standing in the county. St Laurence’s sits in the Eden village of Morland; the tower was raised higher and given a spire in later centuries.
