In the roofless shell of Eassie’s old kirk, near Glamis, stands the Eassie Stone — a beautifully carved Pictish cross-slab, with a cross on one face and figures and animals on the other. It’s kept sheltered within the ruin. A Historic Environment Scotland site, open and free, it’s a quick but rewarding stop if you’re touring the Pictish stones of Angus.
