A cracking little country gastropub tucked away at Memus, in the quiet farmland north of Kirriemuir, The Drovers is worth the drive out. Log fires, local produce and a garden for warmer days — the sort of place people book a table and make an evening of. It’s well off the beaten track, so you’ll need a car; the nearest station is a long way south on the coast.
