Grandest of the Angus glens.
Glen Clova is a classic U-shaped Angus glen, its steep sides carved flat-bottomed by ice. A single road runs up to the glen head, where paths climb to Loch Brandy and on into the Corrie Fee hills. It’s free to visit and a lovely drive in its own right, with the old Clova hotel near the top for a stop. One of the best ways into the Angus mountains.
