Holy Sepulchre, Northampton
One of only four medieval round churches still in use in England, the Holy Sepulchre in Northampton was begun about 1100 by Simon de Senlis, Earl of Northampton, its circular Norman nave modelled on the church of the Holy Sepulchre he had seen in Jerusalem on the First Crusade. It stands on Sheep Street, open to visitors, a few minutes’ walk from Northampton station.
